The mother of one will hand over the reins of her business to her younger brother, Ciaran, on November 4 and told the Irish Independent she’s delighted to keep the company “within the family”.
“It needs love and attention, more than I can give it now, because I only had a day every week to devote to it,” she said.
“After Richard died I took on everything and it was too much. I want to focus on other aspects of my life now. I’ve had no energy.”
Casey was speaking at the opening of ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’ at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre, in Dublin, last night.
